What if you could learn, have a blast, and create something awesome and impactful – all at the same time?
Sounds impossible? Not quite. In this weekly programme, inspired by the games that have defined play and childhood through the years, we’ll use games as a lens to learn how to create fun-packed, impactful experiences with code… while having a tonne of fun along the way, of course!
The Short & Sweet
Weekly classes to develop your child’s curious potential and inventor mindset
No experience necessary: Recommended for kids 7 and up
Develop mastery of and confidence in basic coding concepts and block-based programming
Build creative confidence and problem-solving abilities with LEGO and Scratch
Hands-on, synergistic approach to robotics, engineering and code
All you need to know
Curiosity is innate in every child.
And we believe that harnessing the potential of young curious minds will lead to amazing, out-of-this-world inventions. Using a combination of hardware and software, young learners get hands-on and connect the dots across physical and virtual elements of tech, building out their ideas and inventing the future!
We build up a solid foundation of block-based programming with Scratch, programming animations based on how we play today, before taking a curious and critical look at how gameplay and the games we love have evolved over the years, augmented by technology. Then, with your newfound skills and insights, you’ll apply code and design to develop an impactful game of your own!
Then, you’ll apply what you’ve learned about coding in Scratch – we’ll explore the world of robotics and mechanics with LEGO and other hardware, bringing your ideas and inventions to life!
As you take your creative coding superpowers further, you’ll learn to synergise the different perspectives of consumers and creators – expanding your worldview, understanding of how the world works, and the many applications of code along the way.
At the end of every term, showcase your fantastic creations with your friends, and marvel at the weird and wacky ideas that celebrate your creativity, the power of technology and dreams for the future.

Pedagogy
No lectures. No memorisation. No ONE right answer. Like real life, we're all about trying things out yourself, failing, figuring what went wrong & trying again. These are the skills & mindset that will last a lifetime and how we learn in real life. Let's get kids to learn how to learn. Because the kids who learn to learn become curious, inventive, resourceful human beings who solve real world problems to make a meaningful impact.
Frequently Asked Questions
Who is this course designed for?
This programme is great for all young learners ages 7-8! No prior experience with coding required.
What’s the format of this course?
Young Inventors: Curiosity Meets Code is a weekly programme specially designed for 7-8 year olds to develop an understanding of tech! Each term of classes consists of 8 weekly lessons of 2 hours each.
Can my child join in the next term of classes if s/he missed out on the previous term?
Absolutely! Whether for beginners or for those with slightly more experience, our term classes are designed to welcome new students at the start of every term 🙂 Do note however that we’re unable to include new students to an ongoing term as the lessons are progressive, so do sign up early to book your slot!
What equipment will my child need?
We’ll provide all equipment and materials, but you may want to bring a jacket and light snacks in case s/he gets hungry!
Are these classes available online?
We care deeply about optimising the learning experience of every child that passes through our doors, and for young learners we believe that in-person learning works best. For that reason, our classes are all currently held in-person, and we take necessary precautions to ensure that students have a safe environment to learn in.
My child is younger than 7. Can s/he join?
Starting young is great! As this course is designed for kids ages 7-8, we would recommend going for the Tots & Tech course in that case – suitable for kids ages 5 and up 🙂
